Bruce H. Charles completed his undergraduate work at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan and the University of Southern California, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating cum laude in 1974. His graduate studies were completed at the University of California at Los Angeles, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1977. Mr. Charles was admitted to the California Bar in 1977 and is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (Business and Corporate Law Sections) and American Bar Association (Business Law Section).
After having been a partner at Layman, Jones and Dye for approximately seven years, Mr. Charles and Mr. Kane formed the current firm in 1992. Bruce has twenty-five years of experience in the fields of general corporate and business transactions (focusing on areas involving the structuring, formation and documentation relating to new corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies as well as the ongoing transactional and contractual needs of such entities), mergers and acquisitions (representing acquiring and acquired parties in mid range acquisitions and combinations) and real estate law (representing buyers, sellers and owners in transactions involving the purchase, sale and financing of commercial real estate).
